Job summary

Bimbo Bakeries USA is seeking a Route Sales Specialist in North Dakota. The role involves delivering fresh products, setting up new accounts, and merchandising to grow routes. You will work closely with customers and support sales initiatives to meet expectations.

The position requires 21+ years of age, a valid driver's license, ability to obtain a DOT medical card, and 1–3 years of Direct Sales Distribution experience. Eligible for benefits and on-call rotations may apply.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain and retain a DOT medical card.
• Successfully able to obtain Chauffer License (If job location is in IN, MI, TN).
• Ability to climb, push/pull, bend, stoop, and kneel for extended periods as well as perform frequent reaching and use of fingers.
• 1-3 years of related experience in DSD (Direct Sales Distribution) preferred.
• Consistent with U.S. Department of Transportation regulations, able to read and speak English sufficiently to converse with the public and to document reports.

Responsibilities

• Provide vacation relief for Route Sales Professionals and Loaders.
• Assist the Sales Leadership Team in day-to-day operations and issues as needed.
• Assist with training of new Route Sales Professionals.
• Deliver fresh product to existing customers on open routes until new RSPs are trained.
• Assist with rack resets.
• Partner with Route Sales Professionals to align in account chains.
• Manage route operations including ordering, distribution, merchandising, and promotional activity.
• Communicate with customers about promotions and delivery expectations.
• Ensure product distribution meets contract terms and requirements.
• Assist customer relations with selling new products and space/position gains.
• Provide high level of customer service and resolve issues as they arise.
• Work location will vary depending on staffing needs.

Route Sales Specialist

The responsibility of the Route Sales Specialist is to follow procedures and good business practices that will enable routes to grow to potential. Delivers fresh product to existing customers, sets up new accounts and merchandises. The RSS will work closely with customers and support all sales initiatives to achieve expectations and be responsible for customer development with regard to ordering, merchandising, and display opportunities.

What You Will Be Doing

• Provides a high level of customer service and solve customer issues as they arise.

What We Need From You
