Job summary

Mission Linen Supply is seeking motivated Route Relief Drivers to own and grow a designated route, combining account management with outside sales. You will call on prospective customers, inform regulars of new products, and upsell to increase revenue while delivering and picking up linen and uniforms on schedule.

Qualified candidates have proven sales and customer service experience, a valid Class C license with a clean record, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs daily.

Qualifications

• Proven sales and customer service experience (required)
• Valid Class C driver's license (no CDL required) with a clean driving record for the last 3 years (required)
• Ability to drive a 26’ bobtail truck
• Comfortable loading/unloading your own truck with bags of linen up to 50 lbs daily (required)
• Must pass a drug test and clinic physical
• Tech-savvy, with the ability to learn new systems with minimal training

Responsibilities

• Own and grow a designated route; this is account management and outside sales, not just delivery
• Call on prospective customers to solicit new business and inform regular customers of new products or services
• Upsell existing customers on additional products and services
• Drive a truck to deliver and pick up linen, uniforms, and related products on schedule; load and unload the truck
• Build long-term customer relationships through responsive, professional service; listen to and resolve service complaints, keeping your supervisor informed
• Maintain inventory and follow company inventory-control policies
• Handle invoicing, collections, customer signatures, and accurate delivery and transaction records
• Clean and perform routine maintenance on your truck, and maintain a professional appearance at every stop
• Learn new technology and systems quickly and adapt to updates independently
• Attend training and service department meetings
