Job Summary

The Route Sales Representative fulfills customer needs through upselling and provides superior service by managing route responsibilities. Reports to the District Manager.

Essential Functions

• Solicit new customers, upsell/cross-sell, ensure profitable product mix
• Participate in promotions, training, audits
• Follow policies for customer setup, needs, and service; meet performance goals
• Ensure customer loyalty and retention; build relationships; resolve concerns
• Operate delivery vehicle safely; maintain vehicle
• Handle payments; keep route paperwork current
• Deliver textiles, pick up soiled textiles, maintain inventory
• Monitor competition; keep service agreements current
• Unload soiled textiles; prepare route paperwork
• Follow instructions; perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license; CDL if applicable
• Clean driving record
• Minimum one year of safe driving experience
• Excellent customer service and sales skills
• Strong communication, time management, team player
• Ability to recognize colors, sizes, count accurately

Education

• High School diploma or equivalent

Travel & Environment

• Daily route travel; operating vehicles on roads and in facilities

Physical Demands

• Sitting, grasping, driving, stooping, climbing, lifting up to 75 lbs, standing, walking, speaking, hearing
