Job summary

Apple Valley Waste is expanding rapidly and seeks a Route Manager to oversee dispatching, warehouse activities, and safety compliance. You will lead a diverse team, train staff, and improve productivity across residential, commercial, and roll-off services.

The role requires strong leadership, experience in waste or admin-support operations, and hands-on use of WMS and PKMS to optimize logistics and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in operations management within administrative support or waste management industries.
• Demonstrated ability to manage and lead teams effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and dispatching processes.
• Strong knowledge of safety training protocols and conducting safety audits.
• Ability to respond promptly and effectively to emergency situations.
• Certification in operations management or related fields.
• Experience with PKMS software or similar performance and knowledge management systems.
• Background in environmental health and safety compliance.
• Previous experience in waste management or remediation services.
• Advanced leadership training or supervisory certifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate daily operations including dispatching, warehouse activities, and employee workflows to meet organizational goals.
• Manage and develop team members by providing training, performance evaluations, and coaching to ensure high levels of employee performance and engagement.
• Implement and monitor Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and PKMS to streamline inventory control and operational efficiency.
• Conduct regular safety training sessions and safety audits to ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Lead emergency response initiatives, ensuring preparedness and effective action during incidents to minimize risk and maintain operational continuity.
