Job summary

City of Laredo is seeking a Truck Driver to operate a rear loading packer truck on assigned routes, ensuring timely collection and safety for two collectors. The role requires vigilance around schools, homes, and hazards, with routine pre- and post-trip inspections and documentation of daily activities.

Applicants must have at least two years of truck driving experience and a valid Texas CDL (A or B) with a clean MVR.

Qualifications

• At least two (2) years of truck driving experience.
• Must possess a Valid Texas Commercial Driver License (C.D.L.) class A or B and a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record.

Responsibilities

• Operates a rear loading packer truck for refuse collection and ensures safety of two collectors.
• Completes assigned routes in a timely manner and addresses customer concerns politely.
• Performs daily pre-trip and post-trip safety inspections and reports deficiencies.
• Keeps an updated log of daily responses to 311 complaints and recycling collections.
