Job summary

AVI Foodsystems is hiring a Full-time Route Floater based at our Pittsburgh Branch on Neville Island, PA. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule with an early start and end time, and requires passing a DOT physical exam.

The Route Floater will load, transport, and deliver products to client locations, handle inventory, and assist with on-site duties. A 21+ age minimum, valid license, and ability to lift 50 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ to operate a company vehicle.
• Valid driver's license and good driving record.
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Outgoing personality with product promotion skills.
• Strong organization and time management.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and team.

Responsibilities

• Ensure vehicle is loaded with all products needed for service locations.
• Drive to transport products to client locations.
• Fill in for service or delivery routes as needed.
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested.
• Stock shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers.
• Refrigerate all cold food products in truck and at accounts.
• Oversee ordering of merchandise and control inventory.
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise.
• Collect money from machines.
• Communicate positively with customers by eye contact and smiles.
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts.
• Care for the company vehicle.

AVI Foodsystems is looking for a friendly and hard-working team member to immediately hire to fill the role of Full-time Route Floater. This position is based out of our Pittsburgh Branch in Neville Island, PA. This position will work days, Monday - Friday, with an early start and end times. Must be able to pass a DOT physical exam.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Ensure company vehicle is properly loaded with all product needed to service locations
• Drive vehicle to transport products and food to client locations
• Fill in for Service Routes or Delivery Routes as needed
• Deliver, load, and unload products and food as requested
• Place stock on shelves or racks in vending machines or coolers
• Ensure the refrigeration of all cold food products in truck and at accounts
• Oversee the ordering of merchandise and control inventory
• Collect unsold and stale merchandise
• Collect money, including coins and bills, from machines
• Communicate positively with customers by making eye contact and smiling
• Perform routine maintenance and sanitation of machines at accounts
• Manage the care of the company vehicle

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older to operate a company vehicle
• Valid driver\s license (a CDL is NOT required) and a good driving record
• Ability to pass the DOT Physical
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Outgoing personality with the skills to promote products
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• Ability to communicate effectively to customers and AVI team members
• Ability to work independently and utilize time efficiently
