Unitex Healthcare Laundry Services, Inc. seeks a Route/Driver Supervisor in Hartford, CT. You will oversee a team, drive routes, and support early-morning operations starting as early as 3:00 AM. The role blends field supervision with hands-on driving to ensure timely deliveries and strong customer relations.

Route / Driver Supervisor

Unitex is experiencing unprecedented growth!Due to this growth, we are in search of a highly skilled Route / Driver Supervisor for our facility in Hartford, CT.

Territory: Greater Connecticut

Schedule: Monday - Friday
Must be able to start as early as 3:00 AM

Compensation: The salary range for this position is $65,000 to $65,000 per year. Actual compensation decisions are based on factors such as experience, seniority, location, and other permissible job-related factors.

In this position you will be out on the road with drivers and also covering routes when needed.

At Unitex, the Route / Driver Supervisor is responsible for:

• Establish and maintain customer contact on a regular basis
• Introduce new products/services to customers
• Address issues regarding credit requests, credit and payment terms, contract status, service delivery frequency and service days with customers
• Participate in route settlement with the goal of improving issue resolution, COD pickups, and paperwork integrity
• Schedule new account installations, including day stop sequence, first deliveries and other matters with the customer
• Other service related duties as appropriate

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Supervises 3-5 route drivers. This includes hiring, training, developing and disciplining
• Fills in for drivers as required
• Regularly goes out with drivers to monitor driver’s customer service skills and job safety skills

Job Requirements:

• MUST BE 25 years old or older
• MUST HAVE BEEN A DRIVER FOR A COMPANY as you will be driving a 26 ft box truck
• Clean driver’s license - must pass MVR background check
• 3-5 years of supervisory experience in a service environment preferred
• Driving experience in a service environment needed
• Demonstrated customer service skills
• Strong management and communications skills
• Must be able to supervise drivers
• Must be able to resolve issues in the appropriate time frame.
• Must be organized with excellent follow-up skills
• Very strong interpersonal and telephone skills.
• Good with numbers
• Job is physical in nature – must be able to lift heavy objects up/down stairs and load heavy items into trucks
