Canteen, a brand of Compass Group, is hiring a full-time Route Driver for the Micromarket on a local Jacksonville route. This position requires a valid driver’s license (Non-CDL Class C), the ability to lift 50 lbs, and independent work habits to service markets daily.

The Route Driver will manage inventory, load the truck each day, engage with clients, and maintain equipment while upholding safety and company policies. Training and advancement opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Preferred 1-2 years’ customer service experience or 1 year related experience.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license.
• Must lift 50 lbs regularly.
• Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment.
• Able to work independently, unsupervised most of the day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory levels for micro markets.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in all job aspects.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of micro market equipment.
• Conduct minor service and adjustments on markets; report issues promptly.
• Load truck each day with products for scheduled markets.
• Inform clients of new products, address complaints, and resolve issues.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays.
• Account for receipts, invoices, and product inventory.
• Reconcile inventory per district procedures.
• Keep vehicle clean and conduct pre/post trip inspections.
• Perform all duties safely and professionally.
