Job summary

Canteen in Cerritos, CA is hiring for a full-time Route Driver to service our micromarket program. You will drive a company vehicle on an established route, stock micro markets, ensure inventory, and maintain a professional image with clients.

The role requires a valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and customer-service oriented approach. Prior driving experience is preferred, with opportunities for advancement within Compass Group’s Canteen division.

Qualifications

• 3 years driving experience required.
• Preferred 1-2 years’ experience in a customer service position, or a minimum of 1 year of related experience.
• Valid Non-CDL Class C driver’s license (unless otherwise indicated by state).
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a consistent basis.
• Ability to operate or learn material handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
• Able to work independently, responsible for route, work unsupervised 98% of the work day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain proper inventory levels and product distribution for micro market.
• Provide client and customer satisfaction in every aspect of job performance.
• Display understanding of company policies and ability to administer as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of micro market and related equipment.
• Conduct minor service and adjustments on markets and report defects.
• Ensure truck is loaded with product before starting each day’s route.
• Inform regular clients of new products or services and resolve complaints.
• Set up merchandise and promotional displays for customers.
• Accountable for receipts, invoices, delivery tickets, cash and product.
• Conduct inventory reconciliation per District procedures.
