Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company during deliveries and pickups. The role requires handling freight, inspecting the vehicle, and maintaining a clean, professional appearance.

You will work a Monday–Friday schedule with overtime potential and the chance of weekend OT. Starting pay ranges from $21.00 to $26.25 per hour, depending on experience. FLSA status is nonexempt and full-time employment is offered.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or have the willingness to learn.
• Possess good customer service and can work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
