Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company by delivering and picking up freight. The role includes scanning for mechanical issues, loading efficiently, and handling payments for certain shipments.

Work hours are Monday–Friday with overtime potential and weekend OT offered as needed. Starting wage is $20.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience, with overtime paid time and a half after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
