Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while delivering and picking up freight. The role requires driving a vehicle, maintaining a professional appearance, and ensuring timely deliveries with attention to safety.

The position is full-time with standard hours Monday through Friday starting at 7:30 AM and overtime of 10–15 hours weekly, plus optional weekend OT. Starting pay ranges from $21.00 to $26.25 per hour, based on experience.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
