Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while making deliveries and pickups. The role involves daytime routes, weekend OT possible, and overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours. Starting wage is $20–$24 per hour, based on experience.

You will deliver and pick up freight, inspect vehicles for issues, load for space efficiency, and process shipping documents while maintaining a professional appearance and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Holding a valid Driver's License with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
