Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while making deliveries and pickup freight. The role requires Monday–Friday availability starting at 7:30 AM, with overtime expectations. Starting wage is $20.00–$24.00 per hour, with under 21 wages $19.00–$21.00 based on experience.

The driver will load, secure, and unload shipments, inspect vehicles for mechanical issues, and maintain a professional appearance. Benefits and additional duties may apply as needed.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age (implicit requirement)
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle
• Perform other related duties as assigned
