Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while making deliveries and pickups. The role involves Monday–Friday routes, potential overtime, and a starting wage of $20–$24 per hour based on experience.

Responsibilities include delivering and picking up freight, inspecting the vehicle, loading efficiently, collecting payments for some packages, and ensuring accuracy of shipping paperwork. A valid license and DOT readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate a manual transmission or willingness to learn.
• Good customer service skills and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report vehicle mechanical issues.
• Load the truck efficiently to maximize space and prevent damage.
• Collect payments for certain packages.
• Verify pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
