Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while delivering and picking up freight. The role requires a clean driving record, the ability to operate a manual transmission or learn, and a focus on safe, timely service.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday starting at 7:30 AM with overtime potential and voluntary weekend OT. Starting pay is $20–$24 per hour, with overtime at time-and-a-half after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission, or willingness to learn.
• Strong customer service and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck to use space efficiently and prevent damage.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
