Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service in Minnesota is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while delivering and picking up freight. Monday–Friday schedule starts 7:30 AM and continues until route completion, with 10-15 hours of overtime expected weekly. The role offers a starting wage of $20.00–$24.00 per hour, based on experience, with overtime paid at time and a half after 40 hours. A valid driver’s license and ability to pass a DOT physical are required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to operate a manual transmission or willing to learn.
• Excellent customer service; ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle
• Perform other related duties as assigned
