Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while delivering and picking up freight. You will drive a delivery route, manage loads, and maintain customer service standards.

The role requires 21+ years old, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a valid driver's license with a clean driving record. Starting wage is $20.00-$24.00 per hour, with overtime eligible after 40 hours.

Qualifications

• 21+ years of age
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle
• Perform other related duties as assigned
