Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company while delivering and picking up freight. The role includes loading the truck, inspecting for issues, and maintaining a professional appearance.

Excellent customer service and reliability are essential as you work with customers and shippers. Schedule typically Monday–Friday with overtime expectations; starting pay is $20.00–$24.00 per hour based on experience and includes potential overtime and weekend options.

Qualifications

• At least 21 years of age.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record which meets company standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
