Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service, Inc. is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company during deliveries and pickups. The role requires operating a vehicle, loading and securing freight, and providing excellent customer service.

The position offers a starting wage of $20.00–$24.00 per hour, with overtime after 40 hours and potential weekend OT. A valid driver’s license and the ability to lift up to 75 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Hold a valid Driver's License with a good driving record within company standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to effectively use space and prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance as well as cleanliness of vehicle.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
