Job summary

GFL Industries is seeking a Front-End Driver to operate front-end trucks on multiple residential and commercial routes, removing and transporting waste or recyclables under contract. You will service several customers daily and transfer loads to designated facilities.

This role emphasizes safe operation, adherence to DOT regulations, and reliable route performance. You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, log route activity, and interact with customers while maintaining a clean work site.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Minimum of one year commercial truck driving experience or CDL school certificate.
• Ability to meet safety-sensitive criteria according to company standards.
• Able to safely drive the truck and operate the equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive front-end or ancillary equipment along routes to collect waste.
• Open container enclosures and roll 3-4 yard cans into position for dumping.
• Perform daily pre- and post-trip inspections and submit vehicle condition reports.
• Interact courteously with customers and notify supervisor of issues.
• Maintain and submit logbook and route productivity sheets.
• Maneuver truck into/out of tight spaces using mirrors.
• Use GPS to locate service addresses.
• Follow safety standards and company rules on vehicle operation.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
