Job summary

The Route Driver operates a company vehicle over a fixed route to deliver products and provide services and maintains vending and related equipment. The driver represents the company and projects a professional image while building strong client and customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of driving experience.
• Valid non‑CDL Class C driver's license (unless state requires otherwise).
• Preferred 1‑2 years of customer‑service experience or 1 year of related experience.
• Able to lift 50 lbs consistently.
• Ability or willingness to operate material-handling equipment (box truck, handcarts, etc.).
• Work independently, responsible for route; unsupervised 98% of the work day.

Responsibilities

• Maintain inventory levels and product distribution for vending machines.
• Ensure client and customer satisfaction in all interactions.
• Adhere to company policies and administer them as needed.
• Perform routine cleaning and sanitation of vending machines and equipment.
• Conduct minor service and adjustments on machines; report defective equipment to maintenance.
• Prior to each route, verify that the truck is properly loaded with required products.
• Inform clients and customers of new products or services, listen to and resolve complaints.
• Set up merchandise and sales promotion displays or distribute promotional materials.
• Accountable for receipt of goods, invoices, delivery tickets, and cash transactions.
• Perform inventory reconciliation according to district procedures.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and organized; perform pre‑ and post‑trip inspections.
• Perform all job functions safely and professionally.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
