St. Mary's Food Bank in Phoenix, Arizona is hiring a Route Driver (Class B) to pick up and deliver donated food along a scheduled route. The role also serves as a Customer Service representative with donors during daily interactions.

Hours are 5 a.m. until the route is finished, with starting pay of $23 per hour. Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED, a valid CDL and DOT medical certification, and the ability to lift 50–75 lbs.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or GED required.
• One year experience driving a commercial vehicle.
• FMCSA CDL English proficiency test required.

Responsibilities

• Maintain company vehicles per fueling and DOT standards.
• Assist in loading/unloading trucks.
• Operate pallet jacks per policy.
• Prepare equipment for next day’s route.
• Maintain cleanliness of trailers/truck boxes.
• Complete daily DOT inspections and logs.
• Handle food safely to prevent cross‑contamination.
• Label pallets and donation boxes accurately.
• Deliver and pick up food donations on schedule.
• Build positive donor relations.
• Submit daily reports.
• Drive a Class B truck on routes.
• Fill in on local store route pickups as needed.
• Report to Transportation Manager.
• Safety‑sensitive role.
