St. Mary’s Food Bank is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver (Class A) in Arizona to operate a company truck on regular routes collecting donated food and returning to the warehouse. The role includes occasional off-site pickups and deliveries, with a 5am start when routes begin.

Requirements include a CDL Class A, DOT medical, and a clean driving record; the position is safety sensitive. Compensation starts at $27 per hour, with comprehensive benefits described in the posting.

Qualifications

• High School or GED.
• Minimum 1 year of demonstrated experience driving a commercial vehicle.
• CDL (Class A) required.
• FMCSA compliance; pass CDL English Proficiency test.
• Read and speak English sufficiently to understand highway signs and reports.
• Good driving record and current DOT Medical Certification.
• Strong interpersonal and written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to move and lift 50–75 lbs regularly.
• Self-starter with ability to work independently.
• Good planning and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Upkeep of assigned vehicles to meet safety, fueling, DOT and appearance standards.
• Assist in loading/unloading, operate pallet jacks per policy and OSHA rules.
• Complete DOT Reports and Vehicle Inspection Reports as required.
• Label pallets/boxes with donor information and fill donation receipts neatly.
• Pickup/delivery of food donations, ensuring on‑time standards.
• Maintain excellent relations with donors and merchants during driving.
• Complete daily reports as necessary.
• Drive a Class A or B truck for pickups/deliveries.
• Report to Centralized Dispatch Supervisor for delays.
• Perform other duties; this is a safety sensitive position.
