Job summary

Plumbers Supply Co in Lexington, KY is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely transport plumbing supplies, load and verify orders, and provide friendly service to customers during delivery. You will operate non-CDL box trucks and flatbeds, follow safety procedures, and collaborate with warehouse staff.

Preferred candidates have at least 2 years of box truck experience, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift up to 50–75 lbs, and a DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age and have a valid driver’s license.
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a box truck or similar.
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 75 lbs.
• Customer service focus with excellent communication skills.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned and leased box trucks and flatbed (non-CDL) to deliver plumbing supplies according to customer specifications.
• Load trucks based on daily schedules and customer delivery requirements.
• Use material handling equipment to load trucks and ensure accurate order fulfillment.
• Verify shipping counts and maintain adherence to safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service during all shipping operations.
• Maintain required certifications per DOT and OSHA standards and participate in safety programs.
• Collaborate effectively with warehouse and other teams as needed.

OUR MUST HAVES:

• Prior experience driving a box truck in shipping, receiving, or delivery preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.
