Job summary

Plumbers Supply Co. is seeking a Delivery Driver to safely transport plumbing supplies in the Lexington area. You will load, verify, and deliver orders, interact with customers, and support warehouse coordination to meet daily schedules.

The role requires a valid license, box truck experience, ability to lift heavy loads, and a focus on safety and reliable attendance. A non-CDL driver with strong customer service skills is ideal.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age.
• Valid driver's license.
• Minimum 2 years of box truck or similar driving experience.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and up to 75 lbs with assistance.
• Customer service focus with good communication.
• Reliable attendance and dependability.
• DOT medical card or ability to obtain one.
• Experience driving a box truck in shipping, receiving, or delivery preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Strong knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving.
• Pre-employment drug screen and background check required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company-owned and leased box trucks and flatbed trucks (Non-CDL) to deliver plumbing supplies per customer orders.
• Load trucks according to daily schedules and delivery requirements.
• Use material handling equipment to load and ensure accurate orders.
• Verify shipping counts and adhere to safety standards.
• Provide exceptional customer service during shipping operations.
• Maintain DOT and OSHA certifications and participate in safety programs.
• Collaborate with warehouse and other teams as needed.

WHAT YOU'LL ACTUALLY BE DOING:

• Operate company-owned and leased box trucks and flatbed (straight) trucks (Non-CDL) to deliver plumbing supplies and related products according to customer specifications
• Load trucks based on daily schedules and customer delivery requirements
• Use material handling equipment to load trucks and ensure accurate order fulfillment
• Verify shipping counts and maintain adherence to safety and security standards
• Provide exceptional customer service during all shipping operations
• Maintain required certifications per DOT and OSHA standards and participate in company safety programs
• Collaborate effectively with warehouse and other teams as needed

OUR MUST HAVES:

• Must be 21 years of age
• Valid Driver's License
• Minimum 2 years of experience driving a box truck or similar
• Ability to routinely lift up to 50 lbs and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 lbs with or without assistance
• Customer service focus with excellent communication skills
• Dependable attendance and reliability
• DOT medical card or ability to acquire one
• Prior experience driving a box truck in shipping, receiving, or delivery preferred
• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
• Thorough knowledge of traffic laws and defensive driving techniques
