We are seeking a Route Driver to distribute and merchandise our products to local retail stores. The role involves working independently on a dedicated route, driving a step van, and ensuring customer needs are met.

Essential Tasks

1. Load products into the step van.
2. Seek out new orders and accounts.
3. Deliver products to each stop on the route.
4. Maintain a route book.
5. Order products, stock shelves, rotate products, apply stickers, and affix signage.
6. Check codes, pricing, and freshness daily.
7. Develop and maintain good relationships with customers.
8. Participate in training as per company guidelines.
9. Follow supervisor instructions regarding job procedures.
10. Perform related duties and assist in training others as needed.

Safety and Physical Requirements

• Follow all safety protocols and procedures.
• Use proper lifting techniques and stay alert to prevent accidents.
• Report problems promptly.
• Operate a step van safely on city streets and highways.
• Perceive color codes, perform basic math, and meet visual requirements for driving.
• Engage in physical activities such as sitting, standing, walking, climbing, reaching, bending, lifting, and pushing.
• Communicate effectively in English for driving and customer interactions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work independently; prior route delivery experience is a plus.
• Judgment required for safe driving under varying conditions.
• Good communication skills with managers and team members.
• Responsible for own work.
