Compensation: $17.00 / hour

Description

The Vending Route Driver is responsible for driving a company vehicle over an established route or carrying out any special project/task assigned, including remerchandising, auditing, training, etc. The schedule, days/times (variable work week), and geographical location will vary based on the task. The driver ensures customer satisfaction for their assigned clients, maintains data integrity, and handles product delivery, stocking, and equipment maintenance at each point of sale on their route.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Merchandising: Merchandise products according to plan-o-grams, roll out promotions, obtain and report customer feedback, maintain inventory levels, restock vending spirals, and monitor product shelf life to minimize spoilage.
  • Product Delivery: Load and unload products safely, drive to points of sale, and communicate with management about product and scheduling changes.
  • Cash Handling/Security: Collect money from vending machines, refill coin tubes, follow cash handling protocols, record transactions, and report suspicious activity.
  • Food Safety & Sanitation: Handle perishable items properly, ensure coolers maintain proper temperatures, perform routine cleaning, and report issues to management.
  • Customer Interaction & Team Collaboration: Greet clients professionally, address questions or concerns, provide product suggestions, and offer feedback to improve route efficiency.
  • Machine Maintenance: Conduct minor repairs, remove jams or bent coins, and report complex issues for repair.
  • Inventory: Complete regular inventory counts.
  • Additional projects and assignments as needed.
Job Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Pass DOT physical requirements
  • Clean driving record and chauffeur's license
  • Experience driving a 16 ft box truck or similar
  • Retail experience and merchandising knowledge preferred
  • Basic computer skills (iPad, scanner, smartphone, etc.)
Physical Demands
  • Climbing in and out of vehicles, loading/unloading, bending, stooping, pulling/pushing, twisting
  • Walking and standing for long periods
  • Lifting 25-50 pounds regularly
