Job summary

GFL Environmental Inc. in Corpus Christi, TX seeks a hardworking waste collection crew member to serve customers on a daily route. You will collect solid waste and recyclables, load and compact materials, and assist the driver with safe vehicle operation and backing up in tight spaces.

The role requires reading comprehension, reliable teamwork, and the ability to follow instructions. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with a valid driver’s license listed as a plus.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Collect solid waste/recyclables from customer premises or curbside.
• Load solid waste into collection vehicle.
• Sort recyclables and deposit materials into appropriate compartments.
• Assist driver with safe vehicle operation and space maneuvering.
• Operate equipment to compact trash/materials into the vehicle.
• Audit vehicle safety equipment prior to leaving the branch.
• Identify and remove prohibited items from the waste cart.
• Wear required personal protective equipment at all times.
• Maintain route quality and assist with efficiency improvements.
• Attend safety and branch meetings.
• Perform other duties as required by management.
