City of Muskogee is seeking a Solid Waste Laborer to perform heavy manual labor in refuse collection on assigned routes, outdoors, in all weather. The role requires punctuality and the ability to work long and irregular hours.

Duties include walking routes, maintaining and operating sanitation vehicles, preparing daily route schedules, and servicing garbage carts. Valid Oklahoma driver’s license is required, with safety-sensitive drug testing.

Competenze

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred but not required.
• Requires six months general labor experience.
• Knowledge of Muskogee geography and streets preferred.
• Ability to work long and sometimes irregular hours including evenings and weekends.
• Must follow oral and written instructions and maintain route records.
• Valid Oklahoma Driver’s License required.
• Outdoor work environment with exposure to varying conditions.

Mansioni

• Walk routes and collect refuse as assigned.
• Wash and maintain sanitation vehicles; assist in preventive maintenance and daily fluid checks.
• Collect and complete daily route schedules and report to the division.
• Asemble, issue, pull and maintain City garbage carts as assigned.
• Report damaged containers and perform preventative repairs on trash carts.
• Maintain a clean and orderly work area.
• Communicate with customers on routes.
• Perform other work as necessary and assigned.
• Must report to work on a regular and timely basis.
