Job summary

Coastal Waste & Recycling Inc. is seeking a dedicated Collection Specialist to support our drivers in safely collecting residential, commercial, and industrial waste and recyclables. You will act as the Driver's spotter, assist with loading, and help ensure efficient, on-time routes while upholding safety standards.

We value teamwork, reliability, and a strong work ethic. The role requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 75 pounds, and excellent customer service for the communities

Qualifications

• Physically demanding outdoor work
• Ability to lift 50–75 pounds repeatedly
• Valid driver’s license preferred
• Experience in waste management or related field is a plus

Responsibilities

• Partner with a Driver to safely collect residential, commercial, and industrial waste and recyclables.
• Safely lift, move, empty, and load carts, containers, bags, and other receptacles into collection vehicles.
• Serve as the Driver's spotter during backing maneuvers and provide continuous guidance until complete.
• Maintain awareness of hazards and ensure safe route operations throughout the shift.
• Assist with pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report issues.
