Job Title:

Route Development Manager USA

Job Location:

NYC, CHI, ATL, HOU, MIA, LAX (other locations can be evaluated)

DHL Global Forwarding (“DGF”) manages the flow of goods and information across a customer’s global supply chain utilizing air/ocean/ground transportation, customs brokerage services, and dedicated warehousing/distribution centers. Responsibilities:
  • Drive profitable growth from new and existing customers with a focus on the SME segment.
  • Sponsor selected accounts at a national level to facilitate commercial escalations, pricing decisions, and growth.
  • Define Ocean Freight product priorities (volume/price/campaigns) and related business plans for assigned routes and US territories in line with company strategy.
  • Evaluate, propose, and execute product-related services to catalyze growth.
  • Organize bi-lateral trade summits with targeted overseas countries and support in-country sales visits.
  • Use trade analytics and market intelligence to support sales and growth efforts.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in a business discipline and 5-10 years of related experience.
  • Strong knowledge of ocean freight product and pricing.
  • Understanding of sales processes and business development strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Growth mindset and interpersonal skills, including conflict management and negotiation.
  • Cultural sensitivity and cross-cultural competence.
  • Self-starter with planning and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
Pay Range:
  • NYP Location: $141,831 - $189,108+ (Based on Experience)
  • Other Locations (ORD, ATL, IAH, MIA): $130,011.75 - $173,349+ (Based on Experience)
  • LAX Location: $141,831 - $189,108+ (Based on Experience)
