Job summary

Spee Dee Delivery Service is seeking a Route Driver to represent the company by delivering and picking up freight. The role requires operating a manual transmission or willingness to learn, and a valid driver's license with a good driving record.

Hours are Monday through Friday starting at 7:30 AM until route completion, with overtime that may reach 10-15 hours per week, plus optional weekend OT. Starting wage ranges from $20 to $24 per hour, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Customer service skills and ability to work independently.
• Ability to operate a manual transmission or willingness to learn.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred; valid driver's license with a good record.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up freight in a timely manner from customers and shippers.
• Inspect and report any mechanical problems with the vehicle.
• Load the truck in an organized manner to prevent damage to packages.
• Collect payments for certain packages delivered.
• Verify the content of pickups on shipping papers.
• Notify management of any problems or discrepancies.
• Maintain professional personal appearance and vehicle cleanliness.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
