Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking a Route Coordinator to optimize driver routes and manage costs using our routing system. The role emphasizes prompt, courteous service to customers and accurate data entry.

Responsibilities include daily to quarterly reporting, scheduling of Mobile Service Unit and Tank Deliveries, and maintaining customer accounts in coordination with Customer Service. Teamwork and strong computer skills are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Route system experience preferred.
• Strong computer and Microsoft Office skills required.
• Clear communication in speaking and writing.
• Excellent organization and time management needed.
• Good math and computer skills are desirable.
• Ability to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Assigns and organizes driver routes ensuring route efficiency based on stops and route costs.
• Completes daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly reports on tickets, manifests, costs, and routing.
• Schedules Mobile Service Unit and Tank Delivery to customer's site including input and follow-up with Customer Service Representative in the system.
• Maintain current customer accounts through personal and telephone contact ensuring quality service.
• Works with the MDM Team to ensure new customers are set up promptly.
• Enter Raw Material tickets into computer system.
• Fills in for other Office personnel when needed.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, bend, and kneel.

• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Work Environment

Job functions will be carried out at a plant location and/or office environment.
