Job summary

Sylvania is hiring 3 Route Bus Drivers for the upcoming school year. The position involves transporting students safely while adhering to district policies and state regulations. Candidates must have a CDL License or be willing to obtain one, along with a high school diploma.

This part-time role requires excellent attendance, a positive attitude in student interactions, and the ability to work independently. Working hours will follow the student calendar.

Qualifications

• CDL License required with clean driving record (or willingness to obtain one).
• Excellent attendance record essential.
• Ability to interact positively with students of all ages.
• Must work independently and be capable of performing light duty setup.

Responsibilities

• Transport students and operate school bus according to policies.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections as required.
• Manage and maintain student safety on the bus.
• Communicate positively with students, parents, and staff.
• Maintain proper licensing and pass DOT requirements.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Responsible for transportation of student and all responsibilities connected to operating a school bus per all applicable district policies & state/federal laws
• Conduct all pre-trip inspections as required
• Manage and maintain all students on the bus in a calm and safe manner
• Communicate with students, parents, and other staff members in a positive manner
• Maintain proper license and endorsement and pass DOT physical and random drug testing per DOT regulations
• Regular attendance is an essential job function

Terms of Employment:

School year position to follow student calendar

Daily 6:00am – 9:15am and 2:13pm – 5:00pm (approximately)

Subject to passing post offer background checks
