Job summary

Branch's Civil Division is seeking an experienced Rough Grade Motor Operator to join our growing company. The operator runs a self-propelled motor grader on rough grade work, finishing rough grade on highways, including shoulders, slopes and ditches.

Ideal candidates have knowledge of construction techniques, 1–3 years of rough grade motor operating experience, familiarity with OSHA regulations, and DOT experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction techniques.
• 1 to 3 years of rough grade motor operating experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• DOT experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Scraping and leveling dirt on roadway.
• Spreading and mixing materials on roadway.
• Shaping and blading subgrades.
• Balancing and rough shaping base course materials.
• Fine grading and dressing of shoulders and slopes.
• Routine cleaning of equipment and work area.
• May perform other related duties.
