Job summary

Branch Builds, Inc. is seeking an experienced Rough Grade Motor Operator to join our Civil Division. The role involves operating a self-propelled motor grader on rough grade work, including finishing grade on highways, shoulders, slopes, and ditches.

Responsibilities include oiling, servicing, adjusting equipment, and performing related duties while maintaining safety standards. On-site work requires handling materials and ensuring grading quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 1 to 3 years of rough grade motor operating experience.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• DOT experience preferred, but not required.

Job description

Branch's Civil Division is searching for an experienced and safety-oriented Rough Grade Motor Operator to join our well-established, growing company. The Rough Grade Motor Operator operates a self-propelled motor grader on rough grade work, such as finishing rough grade on the highways, including highway shoulders, slopes, and ditches.

Duties/Responsibilities

• May oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment
• Scraping and leveling dirt on roadway
• Spreading and mixing materials on roadway
• Shaping and blading subgrades
• Balancing and rough shaping base course materials
• Fine grading and dressing of shoulders and slopes
• Routine cleaning of equipment and work area
• May perform other related duties

Compensation Data

Salary Min: $38,209.50

Salary Max: $63,705

Actual compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position which will typically involve 40+ hours a week. Due to the nature of the job, the employee must be available on-call early/late hours to deal with delays, bad weather and emergencies at the job site.
