Branch Civil is seeking an experienced Rough Grade Motor Operator to join its growing Civil Division. The role involves operating a self-propelled motor grader on rough grade work for highways, shoulders, slopes, and ditches.

The candidate should be safety-oriented with a solid understanding of construction techniques and equipment maintenance. Qualified applicants typically have 1–3 years of rough grade motor operating experience and working knowledge of OSHA regulations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction techniques.
• 1 to 3 years of rough grade motor operating experience.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations.
• DOT experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Oil, grease, service and make normal operating adjustments to equipment.
• Scraping and leveling dirt on roadway.
• Spreading and mixing materials on roadway.
• Shaping and blading subgrades.
• Balancing and rough shaping base course materials.
• Fine grading and dressing of shoulders and slopes.
• Routine cleaning of equipment and work area.
• May perform other related duties.
