Job summary

Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX seeks a Front-Line Leader for 2nd shift in Rotors Service Center. You will lead up to 25 union employees, assign daily work, drive safety, quality and cost control, and collaborate across functions to improve throughput and performance.

The role requires leadership, manufacturing experience, and strong communication skills. Shift flexibility and Lean/Six Sigma exposure are valued in a dynamic aviation environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 2 years of manufacturing environment experience is required.
• At least 3 years proven success in a professional leadership role is preferred.
• Excellent oral and written communications skills, detail oriented, and data driven with a strong sense of urgency.
• Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work multiple shifts.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of SAP is preferred.
• Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desired.
• Working knowledge of GD&T preferred.
• Machining experience is preferred.
• Creative, entrepreneurial, empowering team leader.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports.
• Conduct disciplines of employees when necessary.
• Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
• Utilize metrics driven accountability for performance: TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges.
• Achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions.
• Develop, support, and implement process improvements.
• Evaluate business impact in regard to metrics, activity reports, delivery schedules, manpower, etc.
• Demonstrate effective interpersonal, leadership, communication and organization skills.
