Bell Textron Inc. in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Front-Line Leader for the Rotors Service Center on the 2nd shift (3:00 PM–12:00 AM) with mandatory weekend OT.

You will oversee up to 25 union-covered employees, directing daily manufacturing activities to maximize throughput and profitability while driving safety, quality, and cost management. The role requires a high school diploma (Bachelor's preferred), 2+ years in manufacturing, and 3+ years leading teams.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
2+ years of manufacturing experience required.
3+ years of professional leadership preferred.
Strong communication and data-driven with a sense of urgency.
Lean/Six Sigma training/experience desired.
GD&T knowledge preferred.
Machining experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports.
Discipline employees when necessary.
Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Use TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime metrics to drive accountability.
Lead process improvements and evaluate business impact.
Collaborate with multiple functions (Supply Chain, Process Engineering, QA, etc.).

We are developing the future of Army Aviation with the Bell Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA) part of the US Army’s Future Vertical Lift (FVL) modernization effort. We are also developing the Bell 525 Relentless and Bell's High-Speed Vertical Take-Off and Landing (HSVTOL) program, a next generation aircraft.

This position is onsite at the Rotors Service Center in Fort Worth, Texas.

This position is 2nd Shift (3:00PM-12:00AM) – Will have mandatory OT weekend shift (rotation typically every 4 weeks).

Rotors System Center Front Line Leader:

The Front-Line Leader is responsible for the overall execution and performance of an assigned area.

This includes but is not limited to the general assigning, managing and directing of the daily manufacturing activities of up to 25 union covered employees within their assigned area to attain economy of operations, maximize throughput, and ensure profitable production of parts.

The Front-Line Leader will also be responsible for driving performance, safety, quality of work, managing cost, and managing employee relations.

What you’ll be doing as a Front-Line Leader:

Provide daily assignment and direction to direct reports.
Conduct disciplines of employees when necessary.
Manage in accordance with the local production union Collective Bargaining Agreement.
Utilize metrics driven accountability for performance: TAKT, earned hours, efficiency, schedule, overhead, and overtime charges.
Achieve objectives in a matrix work environment and work effectively with multiple functions (such as Supply Chain, Process Engineering, Continuous Improvement, Quality, etc.).
Develop, support, and implement process improvements.
Evaluate business impact in regard to metrics, activity reports, delivery schedules, manpower, etc.
Demonstrate effective interpersonal, leadership, communication and organization skills.

What you need to be successful:

High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
At least 2 years of manufacturing environment experience is required
At least 3 years proven success in a professional leadership role is preferred
Excellent oral and written communications skills, detail oriented, and data driven with a strong sense of urgency.
Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills.
Able to work multiple shifts.
Proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Knowledge of SAP is preferred
Experience and/or training in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma desired
Working knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) preferred
Machining experience is preferred

Assigned to a distribution environment. Must be able to assist direct reports. Uses computer terminal frequently. Interfaces with other managerial, office and hourly employees on a regular basis with various forms of communication. Required to wear appropriate PPE (i.e., safety glasses).
