Job summary

Mach Industries is seeking a Rotordynamics Engineer to analyze rotating and stationary components in our high‑performance small turbine engines. You will own rotordynamics analysis, guide structural capability, and collaborate with aerodynamics and mechanical teams to rapidly develop components manufactured and tested on tight timelines.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years rotordynamics experience, strong FE fundamentals, and proficiency with ANSYS and rotordynamics tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in mechanical, aerospace or civil engineering.
3+ years rotordynamic analysis experience.
Strong fundamentals in mechanical engineering.
Experience with FEA and rotordynamics software.

Responsibilities

Own rotordynamics analysis at component and system level (modal analysis, Campbell plot, critical speeds, forced response).
Determine structural life of rotating components (HCF/LCF).
Develop rotordynamic and structural test rigs and instrumentation layout.
Collaborate with aerodynamic and mechanical teams to optimize part and assembly.
Perform hot-to-cold analysis with thermal inputs from aerodynamics team.
Determine balance criteria for rotating group and bearing preload.
Assist in bearing layout and preload decisions.
Contribute to hardware improvements and new designs.
