Job summary

Valar Atomics in the United States is seeking a rotor-dynamics engineer to join the turbomachinery team and advance power generation capability. You’ll analyze rotating groups and define balancing requirements, collaborating with seal and flow engineers to deliver a robust design.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years of rotordynamics analyses experience.
• Experience with rotating systems for lateral and torsional rotordynamic response.
• Experience defining balancing requirements for turbomachinery.
• Experience with high-speed rotating equipment (gas/steam turbines, blowers, turboexpanders, turbopumps).

Responsibilities

• Analyze rotating groups for acceptable rotordynamic margin.
• Work closely with secondary flow and seal engineers to define acceptable seal clearances.
• Define balance requirements and procedures for rotating group.
