Job summary

Valar Atomics is seeking a rotordynamics engineer to join the turbomachinery team and advance power generation capability. You’ll analyze rotating groups for rotordynamic margin and work with cross-functional teams to define manufacturable, high-efficiency designs.

As an early hire, you will directly influence system architecture decisions and own critical aspects of balancing, tolerances, and overall rotor performance in a high-impact startup environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum 3 years of rotordynamic analysis experience.
• Experience analyzing rotating systems for lateral and torsional rotordynamic response.
• Experience defining balancing requirements for turbomachinery.

Responsibilities

• Analyze rotating groups for acceptable rotordynamic margin.
• Work closely with secondary flow and seal engineers to define acceptable seal clearances.
• Define balance requirements and procedures for rotating group.
