Job summary
Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I (Sheetmetal/Structures UH-60/AH-64/CH-47) to repair and replace aircraft structural components per drawings, blueprints, and manuals. You will fabricate and install parts, align with technical standards, and perform inspections and final checks at JBLM.
Qualified candidates have a high school diploma, military technical training, and aviation maintenance experience with rotary-wing aircraft.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Military technical school or specialized training desired; education level certification required.
- An A&P license is optional but preferred.
- Three years aviation maintenance experience, two years rotary wing, and two years on the assigned MDS in the last six years.
- Valid driver's license and ability to provide own tools.
Responsibilities
- Repairs and replaces structural components per drawings and manuals.
- Fabricates, modifies, and installs structural parts and skins.
- Performs inspections and checks on assemblies and components.
- Maintains tools and records; assists other technicians as needed.
- Adheres to safety procedures and PPE; supports craft operations.
