Job summary

Optima Aero is seeking a Quality Inspector in Grand Prairie, Texas to ensure airworthiness across aircraft and components, following Repair Station standards, manufacturer manuals, FARs, and customer requirements.

You will handle FAA forms, supervise inspections, document parts, and support training and weight/balance tasks. A&P license with rotorcraft experience is required; IA preferred, with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Active A&P license; IA-FAA certification preferred.
• Min 4 years on rotorcraft, including 2 years as a quality inspector.
• Strong knowledge of Bell, Airbus, Leonardo manuals and FARs.
• Experience in a 145 Repair Station and hands-on environment.
• US work authorization and ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Verify airworthiness and compliance with repair standards, manuals, FARs, and customer requirements.
• Prepare and process FAA forms (337, 8130-10, 8110, etc.) for major repairs.
• Conduct preliminary, hidden-damage, in-process, and final inspections.
• Research aircraft records, develop status sheets, and tag/identify parts.
• Assist with Repair Station training, weight and balance, review work orders, secure STCs or field approvals.
