Job summary

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic I to perform scheduled and special maintenance on AH-64E helicopters. The role includes removing and installing engines, rotors, gearboxes and mechanical flight controls, servicing subsystems, and preparing aircraft for inspections.

The candidate will diagnose issues with limited tools and generate maintenance records while adhering to safety programs and company policies. Shift flexibility and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• U.S. military technical school or specialized training is desirable.
• Valid A&P license is optional but preferred.
• Three years aviation maintenance experience with rotary wing work in last six years.
• Must have a valid driver's license and own tools.

Responsibilities

• Remove/install aircraft subsystem assemblies such as engines, rotors, gearboxes and mechanical flight controls.
• Service and lubricate aircraft and subsystems and prepare aircraft for inspections.
• Perform scheduled inspections and assist with special inspections.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot subsystems using specialized tools.
• Maintain records and ensure safety procedures are followed.
