Job summary

RMB Products is seeking a Roto Mold Operator for 2nd shift in Fountain, CO. You will set up and operate rotational molding equipment to produce parts meeting specifications, perform mold prep, production, finishing, and basic maintenance in a fast-paced environment.

The role requires reading blueprints, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining quality and safety standards. Good teamwork and communication are essential for success.

Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor rotational molding equipment according to work orders, setup sheets, production schedules, and procedures.
• Prepare molds, materials, tooling, inserts, and equipment for production.
• Program and adjust machine settings, including time, temperature, and rotation.
• Mount, remove, clean, inspect, and maintain molds and tooling.
• Perform finishing operations including demolding, trimming, and de-flashing.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections using appropriate measuring tools.
• Identify and report nonconforming materials or products.
• Complete production, quality, maintenance, and other documentation on time.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and housekeeping.
• Follow safety procedures and company policies.
• Collaborate with team to meet production goals and continuous improvement.
• Work overtime or extra hours as needed.

Salary Range: $21.00 To $22.00 Hourly

RMB Products is seeking a Rotational Molding (“Roto Mold”) Operator 2nd shift who is responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining rotational molding equipment to produce high-quality products that meet engineering specifications, company quality standards, and customer requirements. This role performs machine setup, mold preparation, production, finishing, inspection, and basic equipment maintenance in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Set up, operate, and monitor rotational molding equipment according to work orders, setup sheets, production schedules, and established procedures.
• Prepare molds, materials, tooling, inserts, and equipment for production.
• Program and adjust machine settings, including time, temperature, and rotation, to produce parts that meet required specifications.
• Mount, remove, clean, inspect, and maintain molds, tooling, and related equipment.
• Perform finishing operations including demolding, trimming, de-flashing, and other post-molding processes.
• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of in-process and finished products using appropriate measuring tools.
• Identify, document, segregate, and report nonconforming materials or products according to established quality procedures.
• Complete production, quality, maintenance, scrap, and other required documentation accurately and on time.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance, housekeeping, and equipment readiness activities.
• Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, work instructions, and company policies.
• Work collaboratively with team members to support production goals and continuous improvement efforts.
• Work overtime, modified schedules, or additional hours as needed to meet business requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and customer specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and math skills.
• Ability to operate or learn to operate rotational molding machines, forklifts, cranes, pneumatic tools, impact tools, and other manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to set up and adjust manufacturing equipment.
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify product or process issues.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• 1+ years of manufacturing or machine operation experience preferred.
• Previous rotational molding or plastics manufacturing experience is a plus.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to maneuver through manufacturing areas and perform tasks that require climbing, reaching, bending, and reaching above shoulder level.
• Ability to safely operate manufacturing equipment and tools required for the position.
