Job summary

Conti Federal is seeking a Project Engineer in the United States (Wyoming/Cheyenne area) to join our field team. The role involves coordinating with the Project Team and Field Management to deliver safe, quality projects while improving operating profit and maintaining strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will lead subcontractor management, submittals, buyouts, and cost estimation, with a focus on safety, cost control, and schedule efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Construction Management or related field with three or more years of experience.
• Experience in start-up meetings, sub-contractor and vendor buy-outs, owner estimates, sub/vendor requisitions and cost-to-completes.
• Demonstrated leadership, teamwork and communication skills.
• Knowledge of MS Word, Excel, Primavera P3, and construction cost-tracking systems.

Responsibilities

• Complies with safety procedures and addresses non-compliance among employees, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Supports Quality personnel and project through the Quality Management System.
• Develops construction means and methods with Superintendent/Project Manager to optimize safety, cost, equipment, and schedule.
• Manages foremen's reports and budget entries; monitors material yields to minimize waste.
• Oversees subcontractors and attends coordination meetings; updates schedules, drawings, and specifications.
• Produces and manages submittals, shop drawings, and material certifications for start of work.
• Participates in Four Week Look Ahead scheduling with Supervisors.
• Establishes strong client relationships and participates in recruiting and business development.
