Job summary

gfsapplegreen is seeking a Manager in Training (MIT) to join Express Lane / Pitt Stop Convenience Stores SC. This non-exempt, hourly role provides rotational exposure across operations and leadership training under the General Manager.

You will assist with daily operations, analyze reports, help with hiring/training, and build strong customer relationships while developing management skills for future advancement.

Qualifications

• High School/GED required.
• Customer service experience required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong leadership and management skills with ability to motivate staff.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Flexible and open schedule.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and oversees the work and schedules.
• Ensures monies are deposited regularly, and reports are submitted as prescribed by company policies.
• Ensures store standards are consistently improved in terms of housekeeping, merchandising, presentation and service.
• Hold regular communication meetings with General Manager and staff to ensure all plans are carried out.
• Addresses customer needs and resolves issues, ensuring positive and long-term customer relationships.
• Ensures inventory data is correct by performing spot inventory counts and checks.
• Ensures that the store always looks clean and inviting.
• Supports the General Manager to achieve Gross Profit Margin, Net Margin and Sales Targets.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
