Job summary

NHS Ayrshire and Arran is seeking Occupational Therapists for a rotational role across East and South Ayrshire. You will work in an agreed OT area, manage a caseload, and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver quality, person-centred care.

The rotations last one year, with strong emphasis on professional development, leadership, and cross-agency collaboration. Candidates should hold OT qualifications and HCPC registration, with driving license preferred.

Qualifications

• Diploma, BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy or within 6 months completion of a BSc or MSc in Occupational Therapy are essential requirements
• Must have completed Flying Start and demonstrate CPD and post-graduate training in OT
• Current HCPC registration (existing or pending within 6 months)
• Experience in a relevant OT speciality
• Evidence of leadership and supervision skills
• Commitment to team and personal development with self-directed learning

Responsibilities

• Work in an agreed area of Occupational Therapy ensuring the provision of quality services
• Participate in a pan-Ayrshire rotation across clinical specialties and settings for one year
• Manage a caseload using evidence-based assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of interventions
• Promote and educate stakeholders through effective communication and networking
• Join teams delivering compassionate, person-centred and innovative care
• Demonstrate continuous professional development and keep up-to-date with agendas influencing services
